“BWLNC provides professional, educational, social, and moral support for Black women judges, lawyers and law students in Northern California, while also remaining dedicated to active service in our surrounding communities.
From our founding in 1979, the Black Women Lawyers Association of Northern California has been and continues to be very special and very unique. Our events range from in-depth roundtable discussions with state and federal judges on best practices and ethical obligations to evening spa retreats with frank and open discussions unique to the needs and experiences of black women attorneys. Our membership has long been comprised of many senior level executives and in-house attorneys, large law firm partners and associates, solo practitioners, government attorneys and judges, and law students from some of the best institutions in the country. No other bar association has such an amazing membership. And yet, we are so much more than just a bar association. We are a sisterhood!”
