CABL Membership

On behalf of the California Association of Black Lawyers (CABL), I invite you to renew your membership or join CABL for the first time for 2019-2020. We are excited to announce, in an effort to reduce the amount of paper sent and received as well as for your convenience, the option to register online as well as pay by credit card is still available at https://calblacklawyers.org/about-cabl/membership/.  Membership dues remain at only $50.00. We do offer a courtesy membership for current law school students. This CABL bar year, we will continue the traditional work of CABL.  We will 1) develop the professional skills of our CABL members; 2) help new and future lawyers cultivate the skills needed to become successful attorneys and; 3) advocate for increased diversity and inclusion in the legal profession.  However, we are also going to be more pro-active in addressing social justice issues and improving the equal access to justice.  We will make sure our members are prepared to become judges. We will launch an affiliate network of legal clinics so that individuals living in low-income neighborhoods have access to legal representation.  We will become the social engineers our community needs us to be.   However, in order for CABL to be successful, we need your help. Renew your CABL membership or become a new member. Together we have strength in numbers!  It’s time that CABL, the largest association of African American attorneys in the West Coast, further its potential as social engineers.

Let’s get to work!

Sincerely,

Andrew W. Houston, Esq.
