|Law Students for Reproductive Justice
Law Students for Reproductive Justice (LSRJ) trains and mobilizes law students and new lawyers across the country to foster legal expertise and support for the realization of reproductive justice. Mentoring and educating a diverse group of law students is an essential long-term strategy for building additional capacity, vision, and skilled support for the reproductive justice (RJ) movement. To ensure LSRJ is practicing the values inherent in the RJ framework, we are proud to offer two (2) paid summer legal internships in 2016. Law students’ financial situation should not determine the work they are able to undertake, particularly if they are passionate about social justice issues and want to utilize their degree to advocate for progressive change.
Fulltime positions are available during the summer with a commitment of 10 weeks. LSRJ seeks rising 2L and 3L applicants with strong legal research and writing skills and a demonstrated interest in social justice. Experience in gender equity, LGBTQ liberation, racial justice, disability rights, or reproductive rights and justice preferred. An internship at LSRJ provides empowering learning experiences for anyone interested in education, organizing, reproductive justice, and/or nonprofit management.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis; the final deadline for the summer internship is 5:00pm PST on March 1, 2016. Early applications will receive priority and positions will be filled on a first come basis. Only applicants selected for interviews will be contacted. Questions by email only – NO calls please!
