Curology is looking for a collaborative, highly motivated, experienced, and detail oriented Commercial Counsel who will handle commercial contracts for the company. This role will collaborate cross functionally across the company to negotiate, draft, and review commercial agreements.
This role will report to our Senior Legal Counsel.

What you’ll do

    • Draft, negotiate, and review commercial, vendor, supply chain, marketing, licensing, consulting, non disclosure, data share, intellectual property, manufacturing, raw materials, and other related agreements
    • Provide business-oriented advice by balancing risks and business reward while partnering cross functionally to ensure commercial contract management and review is scalable and efficient
    • Work as part of the Legal team to support a variety of legal matters with specific emphasis on partnering with attorneys to support internal business partners
    • Manage agreements that comply with company policies and risk tolerance
    • Respond promptly to legal requests from various internal departments, summarizing and communicating applicable legal concepts
    • Work with members of the Legal team to improve and/or create applicable forms, processes, and procedures
    • Work with members of the Legal team to implement a contract management system

What you’ll need

    • 3-5 years of relevant attorney work experience with high-growth companies working in commercial contract law JD degree
    • Admitted to the bar and in good standing Authorized to practice law in California
    • Experience drafting a variety of commercial agreements and advising clients in structuring commercial contracts
    • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage several simultaneous projects under tight deadlines
    • Effective and collaborative communication skillsAbility to foster beneficial relationships with key stakeholders
    • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills, and experience applying these skills to working with internal business partners as well as on external contract negotiations
    • Strong project management skills and ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities and projects
    • Superb attention to detail and able to deliver results in a fast paced and dynamic environment
