Under direction of the Presiding Administrative Law Judge, the Administrative Law Judge II (ALJ II) presides over hearings regarding renewal, suspension, or revocation of licenses and other matters referred to OAH for hearing and prepares proposed or final decisions in compliance with the Administrative Procedure Act, relevant legal standards, and OAH policies and procedures. The ALJ II has a higher level of expertise in the subject matters covered in the General Jurisdiction Division and is assigned more complex cases.
 
This position is designated under the Conflict of Interest Code. The position is responsible for making or participating in the making of governmental decisions that may potentially have a material effect on personal financial interests. The appointee is required to complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment. Failure to comply with the Conflict of Interest Code requirements may void the appointment.
